Brothers and Sisters:

On Sunday, September 7, the Binghamton Firefighters Benevolent Association will be hosting our Annual 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb, at the State Office Building in Downtown Binghamton, NY.  Registration starts at 9am and the climb will start at 10am.  This will be our 4th Annual 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb, remembering not only the 343 fallen firefighters, but all who lost their lives due to the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

We climb 110 stories, the number of stories that were in the trade center buildings, and finish the climb that our FDNY brothers didn’t get to finish.  Climbers can climb in teams or individually.

All Binghamton Fire members, active and retired, including your family members who would like to participate in the climb, please let me know and i will register you.  Please include names and shirt sizes for each climber.  You do not have to register online.

All non-BFD members can register online at www.9-11stairclimb.com.  Click on Find a climb near you.  Next find New York:  Binghamton Fire 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb, and click on Register Now.  There is a registration fee of $25 for non-BFD participants.   Each participant will get a shirt, lanyard, food and drinks.  All proceeds will go to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Please help spread the word about our climb.  Out of nearly 40 registered Stair Climbs, we continue to be the only New York Climb.   Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, August 20th.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email text or call me.  Thank you.

Sincerely,

Chris Mallery
