Funeral and Donation information following the horrific accident in Syracuse, NY

Jan 6, 2017 | nyspffa_news

On January 4th one of our members and his 3 year old daughter were involved
in a car/pedestrian MVA. Our member, Mark Shetsky, was injured and his
daughter, Regan, was killed. The extent of Mark's physical injuries is still
unknown, however he was released from the hospital this morning and is home
with his extended family.

Local 280 has established a "Club-14" account at the Syracuse Fire
Department Federal Credit Union (315.471.4621) to help the family offset
some of the financial debt the family will incur. President Motondo has
requested that anyone wishing to make a donation call the Credit Union at
the number above to make arrangements.

Through the generous donations of our members, Pastabilities, and the
Dinosaur BBQ, Mark and his family are being fed and looked after. Thank you
to all that have extended condolences and offers of assistance.

Services for Regan have been finalized. Calling hours are Sunday, January
8th, 2p-5p, at Thomas Pirro Jr. Funeral Home (3401 Vickery Rd 13212). The
funeral mass is Monday, January 9th, 10a, at Holy Cross Church (4112 E.
Genesee St 13214).

Please keep Mark and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Fraternally,
-eric
