Today, our fellow brothers and sisters in the fire service traveled to the Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Albany to pay tribute to eight firefighters.
Four of the fallen were career firefighters:
- Timothy Gunther (Poughkeespie Local 596)
- Lieutenant Gordon Ambelas (FDNY)
- Kevin Townes, Sr. (Mount Vernon Local 107)
- Kevin Bristol (Peekskill Local 2343)
These brave men made the ultimate sacrifice and for that, we are forever in their debt. We're also grateful to the families of our fallen brothers and extend our deepest condolences.
