We are asking for assistance from any Local with language for a 2% money Committee. We are looking for the rules and/or By-Laws of a Local that Governs their Committee that's charged with overseeing requests from members to use the 2% money and how the 2% Committee is elected etc...

We are looking for information from Locals that participate in a wellness and fitness program. We are working with management to initiate a program and could use some advise on memorandums of understanding and/or department operating procedures

We have a FF that was injured in line of duty and awarded 207-a. Has been out of work for sometime. Was recently examined by City's IME who says he can return to work at full duty. Chief orders back to work but FF presents opinion of treating doctor that he can not return and requests hearing. City appoints hearing officer and takes position that FF has burden of proof to establish he can not return to work.
City's argument is that this is not a hearing to terminate 207-a, but is merely a hearing to determine his ability to return to work.
Would appreciate any input as to whether City (or other municipalities) have tried this argument in the past and if so any rulings/results. Thanks.

We are seeking out all locals in NY who are Fire Districts that run a career or combination fire department and provide BLS or ALS transporting ambulance service, outside of our local area.
We currently run a BLS service, with ALS coming from a commercial provider.

Looking to see if any local has language in by-laws with requirements for attending union meetings and also if there are any fines/procedures in place for members who fail to attend meetings.

We are looking for some statistics and figures from departments that run ALS ambulances or provide ALS and have contracts with an ambulance company to help our Local provide additional revenue for the city budget.
