The NYSPFFA Legislative Conference began today with a presentation from John Berger from Lawley Insurance Company to discuss insurance plans. We also heard from Myrrhanda Jones from the IAFF Center of Excellence. She discussed the new Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery Center. IAFF 1st District VP James Slevin and NYSPFFA President Sam Fresina made a presentation about upcoming issues important to firefighters across the state. A panel of brothers from across the state addresses the body about ideas relating to Union activism.
