Members from across the state gathered in Corning this week to conduct association business. Members received updates on legislation, legal, health and safety and many other matters important to the rank and file. State politicians, local fire department officials and others came to welcome the delegates. The work done by the delegates this week will help the state association continue to deliver the services and support for years to come that the membership needs to take care of their members back home. Awards were given out for the fire fighter of the year, union man of the year and health and safety person of the year. Scholarships were also given out to many members children for the college endeavors. Congratulations to all and thank you to the brothers and sisters from Corning and Elmira for hosting the convention.
